Dr. Olatomide (Tomi) Familusi is an Ivy League and fellowship-trained plastic and reconstructive surgeon with an eye for well-balanced aesthetics and a passion for building genuine relationships with her patients. She prioritizes crafting bespoke, natural, and long-lasting results for each patient. She emphasizes compassionate, holistic care and wholeheartedly believes that plastic surgery not only has the power to create remarkable physical change but also life-altering psychological transformations. She is in the business of revealing the confidence that many patients have buried within by connecting with them personally. She was drawn to the specialty as a young adult specifically because of its ability to connect how a patient feels internally to what they see externally.

Dr. Familusi has specific interest and expertise in surgical and non-surgical rejuvenation of the face, body contouring, and cosmetic and reconstructive breast surgery. She is excited to bring a well-curated, elevated plastic surgery experience centered on hospitality to Atlanta Georgia with her team at Élevé Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery.

Dr. Familusi grew up in the suburbs of Long Island, New York but also called Lagos, Nigeria home for several years. She is an avid reader and wine enthusiast, enjoys traveling the world, antique shopping, cooking and hosting dinner parties for friends and family. She is excited to call Atlanta home.

Dr. Familusi earned her medical degree and a master’s degree in Clinical/Translation Research Methods at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York, where she graduated top of her class and was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. She completed her plastic and reconstructive surgery training at the University of Pennsylvania, recognized as one of the premier programs in the country, where she served as an Assistant Instructor in Surgery. She has the unique distinction of being the first African American woman to match into the institution’s 6-year integrated plastic and reconstructive residency program. At the University of Pennsylvania, she was mentored by highly regarded leaders in microsurgical reconstruction, hand, and aesthetic surgery.

Dr. Familusi’s training extended to the world-renowned Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) where she learned from pioneers in craniomaxillofacial and pediatric plastic surgery. Dedicated to perfecting her craft, Dr. Familusi went on to complete an aesthetic surgery fellowship under the tutelage of internationally recognized facelift and aesthetic breast surgery expert, Dr. Louis P. Bucky, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. Familusi is active on national society committees, has published in magazines and peer reviewed journals and presented at regional and national meetings.
