However, even after the major swelling goes down, some residual inflammation may persist, which can take a few months to disappear fully.

After your Hi-Def lipo, your incisions will be small yet most noticeable immediately after the procedure. After four to eight weeks, your scars will start to fade and begin blending in with the surrounding skin 6 – 12 months post-surgery. Once healed, the scars will be about the size of a freckle and can be covered with clothing or a swimsuit.

You will be encouraged to do some very light calisthenics after surgery to encourage blood flow, but you should rely on Dr. Familusi’s discretion before engaging in more vigorous activities.

In most cases, light exercise can be resumed after one to two weeks, and, depending on your specific case, you can safely resume your full fitness routine about four to six weeks post-surgery.
